Description
It possesses great fruit of the red spectrum, earthiness and some lovely spice. The palate is delicious in its transparency of fruit flavours, fair acid grip and gentle tannins.

Vineyard: Ramnasgras
This single vineyard was planted in 1954 on decomposed granite soils. The vineyard has a southeast exposition and is 1.6 ha in extent.

Harvest Notes
The grapes are sorted meticulously in the vineyard and transported in small picking boxes to a refrigerated container where they are left overnight to cool.
Vinification
The whole bunches are fermented in old, seasoned wooden vats and pumped over once daily. When fermentation is almost complete, the grapes are pressed, and the wine is moved to a big foudre for 12 months.
Maturation
The wine is matured in a big old wooden foudre for 12months.
