Description
A complex chenin blanc, produced from a certified old vineyard planted in 1982. The vineyard is planted as bush-vine and is un-irrigated. The name kliprug (rocky back) was given to the vineyard by the farm employees, as the vineyard is dotted with iron-rich stones, giving the perception of a very rocky ridge.
Rich, deep, complex nose of bruised yellow fruits, white peach, creamy and plush, showing honeyed pineapples, leesy yellow fruits. Plenty of gravitas, fruit weight, focus and textural complexity.
A wine to be consumed now up to 5 years.
