Le Grand Domaine is situated at the top end of Devon Valley, in the premium quality wine producing area of Stellenbosch. The farm measuring 10,7ha with a south easterly slope direction, lies 160m above sea level.
This lends itself intrinsically to the Bordeaux varieties namely Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot of which the planting was completed in 2016. The central philosophy behind our planting strategy is based on terroir and soil composition with the goal of producing outstanding world class wine.

Debbie Thompson
Debbie Thompson joined Le Grand Domaine early 2020. A graduate from Stellenbosch University she spent the next 20 years as winemaker at Simonsig. Her professed goal at Le Grand Domaine is to make wines that truly express and reflect the terroir and the essence of the grape itself.
Viticulturist
Deon Joubert
Deon is a well-known viticulturist and grape grower of his own grapes as well as top wineries in Stellenbosch.
