About
Le Bonheur is a historic Stellenbosch wine estate, which has a rich history dating back to the early 1700, when the estate was a popular meeting place for traders between Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Paarl. Today the estate still boasts a classic and timeless charm and inviting ambiance. With altitudes of between 250 and 450m above sea level, four prominent soil types and multiple aspects and slope, Le Bonheur offers unmatched diversity in terroir. Specialising in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, the estate produces elegant and complex Stellenbosch wines.

Winemaker
William Wilkinson
Le Bonheur winemaker, William Wilkinson, has gained a reputation as one of South Africa’s most creative and awarded winemakers. With a forever inquisitive approach to viticulture, William individually vinifies different batches, which results in site-specific building blocks, to create the authentic and classic wines. William is a former South African bodyboarder and, like the estate, he still has an untamed, wild side.
