Description
The wine was bottled after 9 months barrel maturation. Wild fermentation, punch downs 4 times a day, wine kept on skins a week after fermentation. Pressed and went to old barrels for 9 months. The wine is kept very pure to express Old bush vine Grenache. Classic and restrained, good structure. Tastes spicy (chili) and strawberries and wild cherry. Very elegant wine.

Harvest Notes
The approximately 60yr old Grenache is from a single block that is on well drained, weathered sandstone. The vines are all bush-vine and unirrigated. All farming is done organically. Yields are very low at 2 tonne per hectare
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at Tierhoek, and then fermented for 2 weeks on the skins. 2. Once the fermentation has ended, the wine is then pressed and transferred to wooden barrels. 3. After 6 months the wine is blended and filtered clean.
