Adam Mason
Adam Mason Terre Paisible Vigne D’Or Winemaker. Originally from Johannesburg Adam has always had a passion for food and wine and completed his BSc in Winemaking/Oenology and Viticulture at the University of Stellenbosch. After completing his winemaking degree, he worked internationally as a winemaker for Laithwaites. Here he made a wide range of wines in the Rhône valley, Roussillon and in Provence. He also completed parallel harvests in South Africa at Boschendal and Bruce Jack’s Flagstone Winery. Thereafter, he spent 8 years as Cellar Master at Klein Constantia where he made Vin de Constance, one of the world's most famous sweet wines, as well as some of the finest Sauvignon Blancs in South Africa. Adam then joined prestigious Stellenbosch wine brand Mulderbosch. During his time there as Head Winemaker he was instrumental in revolutionising the brand. He then joined ultra-premium Stellenbosch winery De Morgenzon as its Cellar Master - before setting up his own specialist Winemaking Consultancy business - VinMason. Having a long-standing passion for Sauvignon Blanc - it was a natural fit for Adam to come on board at Terre Paisible to craft our range of estate Sauvignon Blanc wines ‘Les Dames de 1987’ Old Vines and Vigne d’Or Franschhoek Estate Sauvignon Blanc.
