About
Italian passion for fine wine and conservation are inseparable elements of Silent, historic mountainside farm, our home now and of Ayama wines. We learnt about South African soils, grape cultivars, local cultures and more. We remain friends with the local baboon troop even as the latter devises strategies for a share of Shiraz grapes. In November 2014 we planted the FIRST Vermentino in South Africa. It's great result. Our main focus are Chenin and Pinotage. We make also Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Shiraz, Petite Sirah and Carignan. This farm is a special piece of paradise in the Western Cape.
