Rickety Bridge Wine Estate is a popular Cape Winelands destination with a rich wine-making history. Nestled against the Franschhoek Mountains, this 50-hectare estate combines timeless charm with modern elegance. It boasts 16 hectares of vines, accommodation at Basse Provence Guest House and Rickety Bridge Manor House, and a beautiful tasting room for sampling superb wines. Paulina's Restaurant, set among the vineyards, offers a bistro-style menu perfect for pairing with their wines. Specializing in weddings, the estate features stunning spots for ceremonies and receptions.

Donovan Ackermann
Donovan Ackermann completed his studies in Viticulture & Oenology at Elsenburg in 2009. He started off by working at two well renowned Stellenbosch Estates. He gained valuable harvest experience in France, Australia and California during the first years of his wine making career. When he returned from overseas, he worked for 6 years in the cooler winemaking areas such as Elim and Botriver, where he gained a lot of experience and also worked with some of the finest vineyards the areas had to offer. In 2018 he joins forces with Rickety Bridge as Cellar Master. “My winemaking philosophy is simple, always stay true to your vineyards and let them do the talking. I believe in making pure and fresh wines with great aging ability.”

Werk by Nederburg navorsingsplaas Ernita as wingerd, kwekery en plaasbestuurder tot 1985. Huidiglik werksaam as Senior plaasbestuurder en wingerdboukundige by La Motte Wynlandgoed vir die afgelope 34 jaar. Verantwoordelik vir alle fasette van alle wingerdbou aksies van La Motte en verwante wingerde. Doen konsultasie as wingerdboukundige by La Brie wingerde wat die ou Semillon van 114 jaar oud insluit
